Lighweight contender Abdullah Mason has a chance to shine against Jeremiah Nakathila tonight in a 10-round headlist in Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. Mason (18-0, 16 CO’s) acted to save the show for the top rankings with Keyshawn Davis’s departure from the main event yesterday.

This is the largest puncher against which Mason combined. It is a fight that will indicate whether he has the defense and is resistant to work at the top. This is a fight that Abdullah can turn overnight with fans into a star if he destroys Nakathila in a first round ko.
Two years ago, Jeremiah was knocked out twice in the second round by Big Punchers. Mason should therefore focus on getting him away as quickly as possible tonight.

In the main support fight, Kelvin Davis (15-0, 8 COs) takes a step against Nahir Albright (16-2, 7 COs) in a 10 round. This is a risky battle for Kelvin, 28, because Albright has experience, speed and talent that can cause a dismay. Two years ago, Nahir was close to defeating Keyshawn in a 10-round majority loss.
Kelvin was elevated from the Prelim card to the most important after his brother Keyshawn was drawn due to his weight problems. It can be a good thing if Kelvin wins, but it can also end in disaster for him if he is exposed by Nahir.
It is far from a definite battle for Kelvin Davis. It is more 50-50, and can even be 40-60 if Albright is in the same form as he was when he fought Keyshawn.
