TNT Sports pundit Karen Carney has shown confidence in Man United’s Rasmus Hojlund as the Danish striker returned to the Red Devils’ starting eleven for their Europa League clash with FC Porto on Thursday night.
The 21-year-old has missed most of the 2024/25 campaign so far with injury problems, playing just 42 minutes before lining up against Porto.
Manchester United signed Hojlund last summer from Atalanta as part of a big move Offer of 72 million euros and it took a while for the young striker to hit the ground running at Old Trafford. The Danish star didn’t score his first Premier League goal until Boxing Day, which was one of 10 goals scored in England’s top flight.
In the 43 games that Hojlund played in all competitions, the striker would score 16 goals along with two assists.
It’s not the worst return for a young player with a lot of pressure on his shoulders and TNT pundit Karen Carney believes it could be the basis of a good Man United career as she appears to have faith in the 21-year-old’s talent years .

Karen Carney admits Rasmus Hojlund will be a ‘good signing’ for Man United
Speaking ahead of Man United’s Europa League clash with FC Porto on Thursday, the TNT Sports panel discussed Hojlund’s return and the impact he could have, prompting Carney to praise the young forward.
“I love him a lot. He’s aggressive in the press, he works hard and he leads the line,” the pundit said TNT Sports. “He’s somebody that I think ‘you’ve got a good one’. For all the money that’s been spent, I think that’s a good signing.”
Hojlund is set for a big season at Man United for the rest of the 2024/25 campaign, as the Denmark international will be tasked with scoring goals for a side struggling to find the back of the net.
“For all the money that has been spent, I think this is a good signing.”
