“Special,” said after the match. “It is my first WTA tour outside a big clash, and being able to reach the final is a bonus. But at the end of the day, it’s just another match, so I’ll see how I do tomorrow.”
Awaiting her in the final of Sunday is 19-year-old Rakotomanga Rajaonah, who enabled Mexico Renata Zarazua, 6-3, 6-2, in an hour and 20 minutes. The young French, competing only with its third main appearance of attraction at the tournament level, and first in a difficult court.
