Tim Tszyu says there was “Many reasons” To him he loses against Bakhram Murtazaliev. He says it was not “the best version” of himself when he was knocked out by IBF junior middleweight champion Murtazaliev in October last year. He says he had a concussion in the second round after being hit hard. However, he does not say what the other reasons were.
Fundora Rematch: Tszyu’s new excuse
Tszyu (25-2, 18 COs) will have to be 100% on Saturday night when he challenges Sebastian Fundora (22-1-1, 14 COs) in a rematch for his WBC 154 pound on July 19 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. He lost against Fundora last year with a 12-round decision. Tszyu has an excuse for the loss and blame on a cut.
Fundora doesn’t think too much about Tszyu’s habit of using excuses. He says his fists were the reason why he won that battle. It had nothing to do with Tim’s cut forehead.
“With the baking hram loss, There have been many reasons for that. What happens happens. This is the best version of myself, ”Tim Tszyu said Fox Sports Australiawhich indicates a problem that led to his loss of Bakrham Murtazaliev in October.
It would have been nice if Tszyu revealed the ‘reasons’ for his third round loss of Muratazaliev. For him to give the idea that he is an explanation that he is being wiped out, it just sounds like he is an excuse. First, he used his cut against Sebastian Fundora as his apology for the loss. Now he has a new excuse for losing against Muratazalev. It’s kind of pathetic when you look at it.
Concussion of Murtazaliev -match
“I caught early, and I was a concussion. I had a concussion of round two as soon as I was beaten with the shot, ‘Tszyu said he was dropped by IBF champion Murtazaliev early. “I can remember that I beat with something I’ve never felt before. It wasn’t about coming back and digging in. ‘
Tszyu was hit in the second round with a large left hook of Murtazaliev. He fought recklessly as he did in his previous battle against Fundora, and Murtazaliev was the wrong man to oppose it. The Russian fighter fought with only his left because he injured his right in training camp. So he dominated Tszyu with his left side. That makes Murtazaliev’s blow -out victory all the more impressive.
“If I could keep going and fighting through a concussion, who knows what would have happened? I am very pleased that it did not go to the last part because health is #1. I would never stop. I think it was a good lesson learned, ‘says Tszyu.
Who is trying Tim child? He would not take it out of the third round, even if his corner did not throw in the towel to save him. Murtazaliev has dropped Tszyu once in the third and three times in round two. There was literally no chance that he would get it to the later rounds.
