Tim Bradley believes that the judges have done an excellent job of achieving the Manny Pacquiao against Mario Barrios last Saturday night a 12 round. Bradley says none of the fighter did enough to win.
Tim felt that Pacquiao (62-8-3, 39 COs) had no form of defense in the fight, and was just an old shell from the fighter he was once 15 years ago. The 46-year-old Pacquiao’s hand speed and mobility were nowhere near what they were when he fought last in 2016.
Reviewers on: Tim Bradley
“The assessment was at the point, the best judges in boxing. If I had recorded it, I would have recorded it for Barrios,” Tim Bradley said on his channelDiscuss last Saturday night’s Manny Pacquiao against Mario Barrios’ battle results. ‘The draw was perfect. I would very much like to see the contracts of these guys. ‘
I was on the side of the side, and I had a draw. The judges were fair and recorded it perfectly how the battle played. Unlike the supporters who moved for Pacquiao, the judges did not have a bias. If you could see the rounds Barrios won, it came to six.
It could also have been seven too, because his technical skills were on the point. He landed more shots than Pacquiao, and he didn’t have to load them to generate power.
Pacquiao-Barrios: High-level sparring
“Just like the Serrano and Taylor battle, it’s similar that way. Both of these guys were just a high-tier thread session,” Bradley said. “That was all it was. I was disappointed with both of their performances. ‘
The Pacquiao-Barrios battle was almost identical to the recent Katie Taylor against Amanda Serrano fight. None of the fighters did much, and both seemed to be sparring. Much of the chat on social media was how it was staged, and 100% false. Barrios had to be able to run in Pacquiao, because the Filipine star looked slow and very old. Barrios’ non-effort is that prevented Manny from falling apart.
Barrios’ heart questioned by Bradley
“I have to call it as I see it. It was a slower version of Manny Pacquiao. He hit with a few shots that he would not be hit in the past. Mario Barrios, where is your heart? Where is your determination? If you can’t beat a 46-year-old Manny Pacquiao, you shouldn’t be in the ring. You just have to hang them up, ‘says Bradley.
Sermon! Bradley brings out some good points. Barrios seemed to deliberately hold back the whole battle. He could have used his size and youth benefit to overwhelm Pacquiao from the first round, but he didn’t. He looked like he was fighting with a quarter speed to wear the old timer.
Many fans also noticed the same thing in Barrios. He easily took it on the 46-year-old man and wanted to save the relic from the past. The only thing that asks one question is how Barrios arrived in the championships. Even then, he did not show the fire we saw in the past.
