Unfortunately for golf fans, Tiger Woods won’t lift it 2025 PGA Championship Next week. But 15 times great champion Did it make a visible surprise this week, not at a PGA Tour event but in White house In Washington DC here is what we know.
Tiger fits the white house
On Friday night, May 8, US Senator Jim Banks from Indiana broke news on X. Banks posted a photo of themselves staying with Woods in the White House. Along with the photo, Senator wrote, “Met @tigerwoods in the White House today! 
”
Woods is decorated in a marine suit in the picture, along with a light blue shirt and a darker blue tie.
It is not known why Woods made the trip to Avenue Pennsylvania, or if he met with President Donald Trump while in the White House. Woods did not mention the trip to his social media channels.
But Woods made a previous trip to the White House earlier this year, and that visit had an important agenda.
Woods, PGA Tour reps meet with Trump, PIF governor
On February 20, Woods, along with Adam Scott and PGA Tour Jay Monahan commissioner, met Trump’s Governor and Saudi Pif Yasir al-Rumayyan to the White House. The group was trying to negotiate further between the tournament and PIF, which operates Liv Golf.
At first, the reaction to the meeting was positive. Woods, Scott and Monahan issued a joint statement after the meeting thanking everyone involved:

However, in the March player championship, Monahan did little to quench concerns that negotiations had stalled After meeting the White House.
“We are doing everything we can to unite both sides,” Monahan said at the press conference of his player championship, “we will not do so in a way to reduce the strength of our platform or the very real moment we have with our fans and partners.”

Another recent development that may have inspired Woods’ journey to the White House on Friday is about his personal life.
On the evening of March 22, Tiger confirmed the news of His new relationship with girlfriend Vanessa TrumpWriting, “Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time, we would appreciate intimacy for all those close to our hearts.”
Vanessa Trump is the ex-wife of President Trump Donald Trump Jr. She is also the mother of the President’s granddaughter, Kai Trump, who is a growing golf social media star.
Tiger Woods and PGA 2025 Championship
After undergoing surgery last September, Woods hoped to return to the competition this year in a small part of the big events.
He was scheduled to make his debut in the season at the February Invitational Genesis, but Woods withdrew after his mother’s death.

Then on March 11, Tiger fans received some worse news. forest announced that he had broken his Achilles tendon. He underwent surgery to repair it and said at the time, “I am home again and plan to focus on my recovery and rehabilitation. Thank you for all the support.”
Despite a joke of April folly that otherwise suggestsWoods lost 2025 masters because of his healing. He will also lose the PGA championship of the next week in Quail Hollow.
