Tiger Woods Will not be in Augusta National This week for 2025 masters while healing from Surgery in a broken Achilles tent. However, the big champion was still in mind Monday and the masters week began with news of a venture between Woods and the famous golf course.
Chairman of the National Tournament and Masters Augusta and Masters, Fred Ridley announced on Monday that the five -time Masters and Augusta National champion will partnership to increase the entry into affordable golf and “high quality educational programming” in the Augusta area.
This partnership will see Woods and his architecture firm, TGR Design, create a “new course, nine holes, as part of the Augusta Municipal Golf Course renovation”. AMGC is usually called a piece. The Woods TGO Foundation will also build a TGR teaching lab in Augusta, GA., To “provide access to science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (Steam) and the opportunities for young people to prepare for their future.”
“Today’s announcements mark an important milestone for Augusta and deepen the link that our community has with one of our biggest master champions, Tiger Woods,” Ridley said in a statement. “We are grateful for the partner with the TGR Foundation and jointly invest in the Augusta community. This partnership in the TGR learning lab reflects our common interest in enhancing high quality programming access and affecting the next generation in a tangible way.
The TGR teaching lab is expected to open in 2028 and will serve students and students of the Richmond District school system from the central area of the Savannah River.

Monday’s announcement came with Ridley Discover Master plans to renew the piece.
The plan includes the new nine -holes designed by Woods, called Loop, and an 18 -holes redesign by Tom Fazio and Beau Welling.
