Why this pair of golf pants surprised me – in a good way
I was nervous when Dockers stepped in to sponsor the latest episode of our film ‘HEATseries, which will air later this week. At its core, Warming Up is an interview show about how pros prepare for their rounds. Every golfer I’ve talked to is different, but they have one thing in common: it’s vital to feel comfortable, mentally and physically, before hitting the tee.
This is where Dockers pants come in. Look good, feel good, play good – there’s a lot of truth to that. And I didn’t know what to expect my new couple; It had been a while since my last pair of Dockers, and whenever I’m rolling up alongside some well-dressed professionals in trousers, I look forward to not being disappointed.
It was much to my delight, then, that I slipped into my new pair of Dockers, the Go Airweave Chinos, and found them amazing. Slim fit. The right structure. Very elastic. And versatile. They’re not just golf pants, but they certainly work for that purpose. They worked in the Seattle cold, where I wore them first, for a nine-hole round of golf. Then I packed the same pair and walked across the country to the oppressive heat of Florida, where we filmed this episode. You’re as cold as a cucumber.
How do they do this? I looked it up and they call that fabric “Airweave”, which is moisture wicking but cool to the touch.
