This NFL -themed Golf Course is getting a big update

While the PGA Tour season ends this week, the NFL 2025-26 campaign is preparing to begin. The amazed time is no surprise. The tour realizes that it cannot win a battle with professional football. Better that Pro Golf does not collide with Gridiron. From Ponte Vedra’s point of view, both sports are best left in separate lanes. (With the exception of obvious, of course, i New CEO PGA Tour Brian Rolappwho came from NFL.)

However, there is a place where they overlap.

Cowboys Golfi ClubIn Grapevine, Texas, just outside Dallas, is the only NFL -themed golf course. As his name suggests, he is owned and operated by the owner of Dallas Cowboys Jerry Jones and is maintained as a grassy shrine for the American team and its five Super Bowl titles. Her club house is a cowboys museum memorandum. The 4th and 4th hole has the Blue Star Cowboys logo painted in the center of its road.

Also also access to public. Show to play on each given day, and you can simply collide into a previous or current playboy player. On a visit, a few years ago, I became paired with former defensive Lineman Tony Casillas, who – despite a boom shoulder and a shocked check that resulted from the fingers he had broken more than he could calculate – bombed him 60 yards in front of me and pulled his eyes.

But I dig.

The real point of this sending is an update of property. The club, which opened in 2001, is undergoing a multimillion dollar arrangement. Work includes course improvements, but also areas of fully reimenied practice, including a new range with Topist Technology, the terrain buried from the Cowboys field and an 18 -hole course with what the club describes as “vibes garden beer”. These updates and supplements, which began in June, are close to the end and the club are planned to be fully reopen in mid -October, to which cowboy can have some wins.

3 things I am thinking:

New Cabot Scotland Course: I can’t prove this, but, in my experience, “Preliminary Game” was not always part of golf course marketing. And they simply opened with a ribbon cut, without much in the way of “sneaky insights”. In the most recent years, however, “pre -Play” is in tendency – a way to remove information about a new course that is close to completion while removing public appetite prior to official disclosure. Interest builds. Reserves reservations. It is a smart strategy. I mention it because at the beginning Oldthe second 18-hole in Cabot – a Tom doak Design to complement Castle Stuart, original Gil Hanse -im Wagner course. The viewing window lasts until September if you are interested in going there yourself.

Old Petty, the second course with 18 holes in Cabot Highlands, will welcome the preliminary game next summer.
Old petty is coming to life.

The longest course in the world, reimaginated: For decades, the Pines Course at The International in Bolton, Mas.-A 8,400-Obor Geoffrey Cornish design-was known as the longest golf course in the world (technically, not; nullarbor connections, which extends throughout the Australian Outback, is about 848 miles, but I don’t have to cheat). Now, the course has a new claim to fame, as the original pines has been blown up and replaced by a fresh construction by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. The layout now suggests just over 7,000 yards, which looks like enough. Pines is a private club, but I’m sure we will see and hear more about it in the coming weeks, as the club is waiting for a media coming out next week.
