Let’s talk about sex things: Wedge grinds!
While it can be an uncontrolled corner of the bag, there is an interesting trend that is happening with the wedge, as many of the good seem to be choosing for the wider solution quarrels in their lobby wedges. A single wider usually adds to forgiveness, but reduces the versatility, so why would it consider the best in the world this sacrifice?
Because they really don’t have to.
Last year, the Vokey Title team has made movements that reflect this trend, Vokey K*-Grind issuance to the general public last fall and then adding .06K Low Bunce K-Grind in their regular retail formation in January. 0.06K is a super -wide, high -head wedge, created for players with steep oscillations and those who can fight from sand. The most unique K* has been around for a while on the tournament and available through the Wedgeworks program, but allows more shallow players to benefit from the only complete, wide of k-grind. It includes pre-sheeps-which helps maintain the main edge from excavation-and relief of the edge, which helps the main edge to sit down on the ground.
How is it working on the tour? It is the same scottie scheffler wedge used for three of its four main titles.
Both of these Vokey wedges have become super popular in the Pro game, with a K-Grind-0,06K variant or k*-Pyk lobe Winning the last four PGA Tour events. Other manufacturers are on the same track. Just last week, Taylormade completely released their new MG5 wedgeswhich offer a new SX-Grind for the lobe wedge, the only wider the company has ever offered, adding skills to different facial positions.
Wedges widely resolved are of course nothing new for golf, but there is a certain level or interest that will cause tour now. They can also be right for you, as more options arrive in the retail market. The only way to know for sure has not changed. Make wedge fit as you will do for any other part of your bag.
3 things i am thinking
Should be the shoes: Justin Rose just made The first player to win at PGA Tour wearing Payntr shoes. It is worth repeating because of the way he won, with long discs that the broadcasters who called him without age had. Was it due to Payntr’s Property Propulsion Tile To help in efficient transfer of energy? We will not necessarily make that jump, but we see it interesting!
Or is the driver?: Speaking of Rose, he won with a driver he had not used in the course until the opening round of Thursday! Some boys will take weeks by quarreling through the feeling of a club – especially the longest one in the bag – before engaging for a new club. No it got up, apparently.
‘V’ stands very well: Dean Bur Master won Liv Golf Chicago Using the II blades II of Srixon Z-Forged II. It’s been a big year for Srixon as they have chosen some wins, including JJ Spaun’s US Open. Don’t be surprised to see more companies that offer something similar to V -shaped Srixon model.
