This is episode 584 #Coffee with Larry For March 7, 2026. The ASICS Marathon is approaching, deep thoughts on the busy first two months of 2026.

This is my daily chat #RunBlogRun viewers and follow fans on everything track and field. We go LIVE Monday-Saturday at 10:00 AM Central US Email Me (email protected)!

Our topics:

1. It ASICS LA Marathon this year will mark its 41st edition.

2. ASICS: I believe the race has taken over as a sponsor in 2019 and they have done a great job on this great event.

3. Back in the early 1990s, Fred LeBow, the late, great New York marathon impresario, told me that: The LA Marathon should be awesome!! I believe it has been mentioned in major magazines.

4. The LA Marathon had seven ownership groups before it took root. Bill Burke and Marie Patrick, the mercurial team that also ran the Los Angeles 1984 Olympic tennis games, ran the marathon for two-plus decades. with some colorful sides. The McCourt Foundation took over the marathon nearly a decade ago, and ASICS relaunched around 2019.
