This golf cart will be the star of your next party

If golf is part of your social media algorithm, you’ve probably noticed that golf-themed hosting is a total SOMETHING. from OUTFITS for those who love to decorate, leaning heavily on themes of all kinds is very much in fashion lately, and golf is a popular choice. Case in point: I recently attended a mother-son “Par-Tee” at my children’s school. Dress was elegant at a country club, and mini golf was one of the featured activities. I felt like home!

With the Masters on the horizon, golf-themed hosting content really kicks into high gear. The Masters are fully aware of its allure on this front, so it is Reception kits sell out immediately every year. But if you’re having guests over for a Masters watch party this year—or just want to have a golf-themed gathering any time in the future—I recently had the chance to test out what I now believe is a golf party staple/accessory/must-have: FUNBOY Golf Cart Pool Floats.

I know what you might be thinking: I don’t have a pool. I don’t live where it’s pool weather right now. That’s okay! Not only are these floats great at serving their purpose as actual floats, but they can also function as entertainment centers or focal points for your golf themed event. I recently took both the pool lounger and the floating beverage cooler for a spin and thought they were fantastic.

Here’s what I liked about them.

Mild inflation

With two young children at home, this isn’t my first pool rodeo. We’ve had a number over the years, ranging from simple ring-style tubes to a “lifeboat” that was a favorite for several seasons. However, that boat was a huge pain to inflate. With seven different (and small) air chambers to fill, it was slow, even with an electric pump.

FunBoy flights have no such problems. The chamber count is minimal, the nozzles are large, and an electric air pump makes quick work of it. I timed the process and it was less than two minutes for each swim. This is great!

A winning look

The white and green color scheme is perfect for golf parties – and especially suitable for anything related to the Masters. But there are also other color combinations available. Both the large hair and the floating cooler come with removable mesh scarves with a fun edge, giving them a sophisticated and retro style.

Large capacity

If you are using the float as a CURRENT float, as I did, has impressive capacity. It is designed to easily fit two adults, which I believe because four children between the ages of 2 and 10 were able to get on the float at once with no problem. There’s also a rope tie included to keep the float in place, and two reinforced cup holders.

The float tire feels very durable. My kids went a little wild on it and we had no deflation issues. One thing to keep in mind though: if the float capsizes and the sun canopy gets wet, it will weigh down the roof support and will have to be removed. We were using the floats in the evening so the sun cover was not necessary. But if you’re using swimming as intended – to swim – and not as a ninja obstacle course like my kids, this won’t be a problem!

With many uses

With the kids frolicking in the water, I decided to move the cooler to a poolside table and found that it also works well as a super fun center, especially with the sun shade on the edge. Maximum capacity: one 12-pack, plus ice. I didn’t pack the cooler with 12 drinks, but filled it with a 16-lb. ice pack

The large float also has a ton of potential as a party display if you don’t want to put it in the water. I’m envisioning an entire cart centered around pimento cheese at the show…I mean, why not? Dreamy!
