Thierry Henry and Micah Richards hail ‘perfect’ moment.

It was a European night to remember for Arsenal Football Club, with former star man Thierry Henry praising one particular moment during the Gunners’ win over Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.

Without Ousmane Dembele to trouble Arsenal’s defence, the French giants were moribund as an attacking force, and Luis Enrique may well question his decision to discipline his most dangerous player given how the game ended.

PSG’s inability to shake the hosts saw Arsenal take the lead through Kai Havertz, a goal that places the German international in an exclusive club.

The preparation of the target had Henry and his CBS Sports partner, Micah Richards, purring.

“A great job by Leandro Trossard,” said the Frenchman in his live post-match analysis on the channel.

“You’re going to see Kai Havertz’s usual run. Bukayo Saka is at the second post. Kai Havertz reads it well. What delivery from Trossard and Havertz gets in front of Donnarumma.”

Richards couldn’t have agreed more, saying; “Just look at the run in there, the way he’s slowing down, then going faster and slowing down again for the moment. (Trossard’s) ball was perfect.”

Henry added; “Trossard saw it, he couldn’t go too early or he would have been out, so he timed his run and he does it very well. He scored a very similar goal against Wolves earlier in the season.”

What the goals and performance of the night showed is that Mikel Arteta’s side are already very much on the beat this season.

So much so, that Bukayo Saka is even tipping them for the Premier League title.

There is a long, long way to go before that dream becomes a reality for the north Londoners, but if they can continue to deliver performances of the standard seen against PSG, that means Arsenal will not be lifting silverware in May of 2025
