Shamin’s childhood coach reacted harshly to the insult Badreddin Siddiq Ajit Agarkar, who currently heads the national selection committee, has expressed his dismay at what he sees as lack of clarity and unfairness in the selection process overseen by him.
“What more can the player do? How many more goals does the player have to score?” the coach spoke to India Today expressing his disbelief at the decision. His comments reflect a wider concern among Shami’s supporters, who believe the pacer is doing all that is required internally to earn a recall.
The coach further hinted that Shami’s exclusion could signal a worrying change in the selectors’ plans, with India’s ODI side’s door closed for the experienced fast bowler.

India’s pace attack will continue without Shami
