PTI quoted Rajeev Shukla as saying, “We (BCCI) prefer a hybrid model. But the ICC chairman is already looking into it and is in talks with the Pakistan Cricket Board, we hope that both nations (India and Pakistan) will come to an amicable solution without any bitterness.
The BCCI vice-president added, “The main focus is on the safety of our players and therefore we cannot send them to Pakistan. We are looking for a middle way to solve things.”
India and Pakistan are set to play on neutral grounds
On the other hand, a PTI report suggests that neither India nor Pakistan will travel to each other’s country for ICC events in future. It is also reported that the upcoming 2025 Champions Trophy match between India and Pakistan will take place in Dubai, UAE.
