I don’t think you’ve ever seen a set of iron iron, just like these new ones Cobra Baffler handcuffs.
Hey, I could be wrong (it wouldn’t be the first time, it wouldn’t be the last), but these combined Cobra Baffler handcuffs could have redefined what a combo group might be.
Before we go too far away, you low -digit sticks can probably spend the rest of this article. Cobra bafflers are not for you. This iron group is created to be even more thanks than the super games of Cobra-improvement DS-Adapt Max Irons.
You can call them super-Driver Improving the game if you want. As for the purpose of the cobra, you would not be mistaken.
We do not know yet how they will perform, but in terms of concept, design and initial execution, Cobra seems to have hit its signs. Let them dive inside.
Cobra Baffler Combo Irons: History with a modern turn
In 2025, Baffler may sound like a Batman Zuzar or one of the most vague pokemon. In reality, however, is what put Cobra on the map. Fifty years ago, The founder of Cobra Tom Crow introduced the first golf services wood with these rails with crazy views in the only one. The idea came to Crow as a young man in his native Australia as he watched Catamarans passing through the water in Sydney Harbor. A single similar in a golf club, he thought, would slip through the ground in the same way.
After emigrating to the US in the early 1970s, he founded Cobra in 1973 and gave us Baffler two years later. Stories still fly about Carlsbad of Crow by demonstrating his annoying rails in the club’s benefits by hitting golf balls from the parking sidewalk.
In 2000, Cobra introduced its first hybrid iron with Baffler rails and, by 2005, Baffler services were sold wooden services in Golf. Baffler Rails have been a major pillar for Cobra since they were introduced, but the new iron group Baffler gets the idea at a new level.
“This modern interpretation of the Baffler family is a hybrid iron, very similar to what you have previously seen in our iron group T-rail,” team leader Cobra Iron Bryce Hobbs tells Mygolfs. “This is for the T-rail player who seeks to buy a new group. They are betting better, more accomplished, and this is the next step for them.”
Makes what makes different new bafflers?
When Cobra says that young bafflers are a combination set, they really mean a combo Situated Cobra has collected an iron set with five distinct constructions. Standard men’s set contains Baffler railroad hybrids that occupy roles 4- and 5-Hakuri. Next are hybrid cuffs with empty body (similar to Cobra Railways) for your 6- and your 7-and-relevance. They are followed by the most standard handcuffs of the hungry body (modeled after the maximum Cobra DS-Adapt cuffs) in the 8- and 9-when.
Wedge Pitching is a more traditional iron return iron, based on Cobra’s Air X models. Wedge optional GAP Wedge is a wedge of returning the game improvement cavity, similar to the King X King Serie X.
This is many moving parts to catch in an iron group.
“One of our goals was to give the player the exact benefit and performance needed for each of these handcuffs,” says Hobbs.
“We were a little worried about how they would all be gathered as a full group,” Doug Roberts adds. High Director of Cobra Design and Engineering. “How do you design and engineer a group of five different buildings and still make it look beautiful?”
Replacing long cuff hybrids in super game improvement groups is not a new idea, so that part was pretty straightforward. Where Cobra Got Creative was in transition from Hollow-Hybrid type cuffs (think Cleveland Halo, Tour Edge X725 or Cobra T-Rail) in a standard SGI Hollow-Body iron and, after all, in the cavity return wedges.
Cobra was able to withdraw it without making the set look like something Dr. Frankenstein would have wiped out in a lab.
“It is very interesting how he joined,” says Roberts. “Our code name for this project was, in fact,” Frankenstein “.
Baffler’s progress
“This is a combined set for the super game improvement player,” says Hobbs. “Designed is specially created for them.”
Numerous constructions are key. The hybrids are designed for high departure and maximum retention and represent the full glory of the Crow cats. As the group progresses, the cuffs become smaller for a little more accuracy. Baffler rails also evolve.
“It’s a progressive railway story,” says Hobbs. “The sloping and longest rails are 6- and 7-iron. The rails progressively shallowly while inserting into the shaken wedge, and there are no rails in the wedge of the gap and sand.
“You don’t want rails who work against you when you are in bunker.”
Typical irons of super game improvement direct the center of gravity to nearly abduction levels. This is to help the target player get the ball into the air. CobraHowever, he found that he did not necessarily translate into course performance.
“We found in our research and testing that, in shorter handcuffs, players prefer a little more a traditional performance against our T-rail cuffs,” Roberts says. “Those short cuffs had a truly deep center of gravity and really single wide.”
“We found that you don’t really need a 20 millimeter CG depth on a sand wedge, as we had in T-shuffles,” Hobbs adds. “You’re starting a lot already. CG affects the departure and we were able to subtract it slightly by changing the construction and making sure we didn’t leave much.”
For the record, the new Baffler sand wedge has a CG depth of only eight millimeters.
“This is a great example of how we have built this group to better serve the most reached T-rail player,” says Hobbs.
To foam or not go?
Hungry ironies, left on their equipment, may sound of shirts if something is done. This “something” is usually a type of foam injected into the hungry body to soften the bar. The problem, however, is that the foam can adversely affect Flex Flex. This, in turn, affects the distance. In an iron made to help Slow Swingers, this is not useful. After all, Cobra chose not to go to the foam road, instead of going with a medallion to silence the sound.
“We compared the two and discovered that the medallion worked well,” Hobbs says. “The foam weighs only three to five grams. If you are able to use that weight somewhere else and leave it to be just air, you will make the iron a little better.”
As we said before, Cobra Today is in an interesting position. The company sits just a little outside the four Callaway, title, Taylormade and Ping, despite making some of the most innovative products in the game today. 3D printed 3D 3DP cuffs have opened a very provocative door. You can probably expect some new 3D printed offers before the year comes out.
“We know where we sit in the market. We have to be innovators and creators to have something that stands,” Roberts says. “We are very excited about the appearance of (bafflers). When you personally see them, they have a pleasant appearance, the premium that we think will be distinguished.”

Cobra is taking an interesting approach, not to mention practical, with its retail groups of Baffler’s shackles. Both stake groups for men and women will only be available with shafts. Given the target golf player, a beginner or a slower -speed player that updates the Cobra T rods, is an understandable decision.
For what is worth it, men’s steel groups can be ordered through COBRA custom department.
Standard men’s placement contains two hybrids (21-steps 4h and a 24-step 5h), two hybrids (26-scales 6-hekuri, 29 degree 7-hekuri), two hungry body cuffs (34-scales 8-Herkuri, 39-scales 9-Herkuri) and a wedge of kavilles 44. of the cavity and sand wedge are available as additions through the custom department.
The standard women’s set is a different tad. It contains 5- and 6-hybrids (24- and 26-grade), an iron of 7-woman with 29 degrees, with a hungry body 8- and 9-iron (34- and 39-degree), a wedge with a caviar with a 44-degree cavile, and a 56-staircase wedge. An empty wedge is available through the habit.
Both groups of men and women present shafts of the graphite shares of the chopped graffiti-for-territories designed specifically for moderate swing speeds. They will make a minority for $ 899.
