The last round of the Tour Tour Korn Ferry 2025 championship began with two players who had to win to win their PGA Tour card leading the road.
For Barend Botha and Sandy Scott, only one victory would put them in Top 20 and PGA Tour. But Sunday in the Pete Dye course at the French Lick Resort was not their day. Scott quickly faded, making three bogeys in nine in front of him on a road for a two-bie 74 in the last round and a T8. Botha lost early after Chandler Blanchet, who had already captured his PGA Tour card for next season, opened with three straight birds. Botha hanged harshly, but could not capture Blanchet, who shot one Sunday 66 to post 14 under and beat the two.
The Blanchet’s victory that ended the season in second place on the list of Korn Ferry shift points, shortly after Johnny Keefer. The 29-year-old, who will be a PGA Tour rook in 2026, became exciting after the last fall and he turned his attention to what he hopes is a long future in the high circuit.
“I hope he can lead for example,” Blenchet Brentley Romine told Golf Channel to have his two children watch him following his dreams. “Hopefully we can be in PGA Tour for a long time, and they can see that perseverance and tireless work and translate it into their lives.”
The drama was everywhere in Korn Ferry’s Tour Championship. As the weekend leader unfolds, Pontus Nyholm found himself in the center.
The 27-year-old Swedish entered the week to the 18th in the ranking, but fell into the bubble over the weekend. With Botha making a weekend fee in the trophy, the pressure was withdrawn to Nyholm to try to provide his card. On Sunday, the pressure came from Botha, who had to win to get his card, and Mitchell Meissner, who made a late load while Nyholm released oil down the stretch, shooting a nine 40 years old. Meissner Zogu 12, 13 and 15 to get into the conversation and had at least two more to finish to have a chance to catch NYHOLM. But a stroke shot at 16 led to a noise and made Meissner finish the 21st in the standings.

“Really proud of the way I fought,” Meissner Romine told after finishing a timid place on his card. “It was good to have a chance today. I am grateful to be in this position. My friend last night, he said, when I was old in college and was going through Yips, I didn’t think I would be in this country. So grateful to be here and happy to have a chance.
After Dodging Meissner, Nyholm simply had to sweat for Botha Sunday charges. But after the blancing kept him out, Nyholm could extract.
“Yes, I have a new favorite golf player in Chandler Blanchet,” Nyholm said after he provided his card.
On the other side of the coin was Zecheng “Marty” Dou. Three weeks ago, DUU was considered a long shot to do it back to PGA Tour. But the 28-year-old posted a T2 conclusion at the Nationwide Championship of the Children’s Hospital and followed him with a second solo in the compliance solution championship to be thrown into the top 20 places. Dou entered the Corn Ferry Championship on 19 and posted rounds 72, 69, 72 and 72 to finish T18 and mark his ticket back to PGA Tour.
“I really didn’t think too much to get my card this year,” Dou Romine after round. “I was just looking to enter the Q school, perhaps the second or in the third phase. Two competitors, and suddenly it turns out to get my card. Coming to 19, I was nervous all week.
“You want to show it on the best scene. By doing it this week, I’m just looking forward to next year.”
