Australia comprehensive Mitchell Marsh despite the threat of rain, Australia is confident of a win over India. Mitchell Marsh believes there are still two days left in the match, which will be enough for Australia to push for victory.
The ongoing Test match between Australia and India at the Gabba has been affected by rain from day one. He could only muster 13.2 overs on the first day as the rain played badly and did not allow the game to continue.
However, the second day was dry enough to allow both meetings to continue. The third day was also interrupted by incessant rain as the match was heading towards an interesting phase as it was washed away by water for most of the day.
Mitchell Marsh is confident Australia will win at the Gabba
After the conclusion of the third day’s play, all-rounder Mitchell Marsh was asked about his chances of getting a result in a Test match. Marsh was confident of Australia’s victory with two days to go. He believes that there is still a lot of time left in the match, which will be enough to get a result.
“We’re always asking about the radar and what’s going on. With two days left, I think there’s still plenty of time for a result,” Mitchell Marsh was quoted as saying by Cricket Australia.

Mitchell Marsh hasn’t done much in the ongoing Test so far. He was sacked only 5 times jasprit bumrah and had the lowest score among Australia’s top nine batsmen.
Can Australia push to continue?
Meanwhile, Australia can push for an innings victory by not allowing India to cross the next target. The Men in Blue still need 194 runs to stay out, which will not be an easy task from here on out.
India ended Day 3 at 51-4, still 394 runs behind Australia’s first innings score. They will require serious work from their captain Rohit Sharma if they want to get back into this match.
Remaining shots for India
Rohit Sharma is yet to open his account and has played 6 balls so far. KL Rahul bats alongside him and looks solid. Rahul looked the most reliable batsman for India on Day 3 and was unbeaten on 33 off 64 balls. Apart from him, no Indian batsman could even cross the double-digit mark on the third day.
With Ravindra Jadeja and Nitish Kumar Reddy to watch, India will believe they still have some shots to reach a respectable first innings total. Although Reddy looks in this excellent batting shape seriesthis will be Jadeja’s first game in the series.
The five-match Test series is currently level at 1-1, with India winning the first match in Perth and Australia taking the second in Adelaide. The next two Tests will be held in Melbourne and Sydney respectively.
