Tonofimo Lopez revealed on social media tonight that she decided not to fight Devin Haney in Saudi Arabia on August 16 was because he felt the only way he could win was by beating Dev. Lopez says Haney (32-0, 15 COs) is near Turki Alalshikh. So, if he went to Riyadh to fight against him, he wouldn’t have won unless he had knocked out.
Lopez feared for Haney -Roof
Lopez (22-1, 13 COs) did not want to give them the chance to rob him. He was also worried that even if he won, the Haney’s would have fought a way to sue him to take his victory away. He thinks they don’t mind losing. The Haney just wants the money, and then they will sue.
