Theofimo Lopez took to social media to volunteer to fight an exhibition match on November 14, Jake Paul against Gerrvonta Davis card at Netflix in the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
Lopez is voluntary for Netflix card
WBO lightweight champion Lopez (22-1, 13 CO’s) marked Jake Paul’s promotional company, the most valuable promotions, Netflix and the State Farm Arena. For Lopez to fight an exhibition match to get the kind of big money Gervonta and Paul would get, he should have someone completely out of his depth, size and power.
It will not be a value added for MVP promotions to include theofimo on the map in an exhibition if he is going to fight a ham-and-right, with gloves of 14 oz, head covering without knockout rules. It should be someone who would take his head down in a real fight, such as middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhunly or the light heavyweight David Morrell.
Fans on X respond negatively to Lopez, 28, who voluntarily participate in an exhibition match. The users say it’s just another way for Lopez to Duck WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson.
Reactions on social media to Lopez’s plea
– “Bro literally begged.”
– “You sound desperate.”
– “Try to get the Paul money.”
– “Running of Shakur.”
– “Boxing is dead again.”
– “What happened to the sport?”
I don’t know of anyone else, but congratulations to everyone who for the 14th of November “El Gallo” vs. “Tank” event.
I would like to fight on their map as another exhibition! I believe it will be nice and historic. 👊 @Netflix @Mostvpromotic @Statefarm

Popular three-division champion Stevenson pushed hard on social media for a fight against Theofimo. He repeatedly told his followers that he was waiting for Teo.
Why not a real battle?
Fans want to see Lopez involved in important battles against serious boxers, not necessarily Shakur. Many fans want theofimo to fight against the entertaining boxers. Stevenson fits more in the dull Arnold Barboza Jr. -Category, not the entertaining one who wants fans to see Lopez fighting. They want TEO to fight against these boxers:
- Gary Antuanne Russell
- Richardson Hitchins
- Ryan Garcia
- Brian Norman jr.
- Keyshawn Davis
- Subriel Matias
