Theofimo Lopez against Devin Haney is reportedly signed for August 16 at a catch of 145 pounds in Saudi Arabia. The catch weight would seem to be a slight disability for mild welterweight theofimo (22-1, 13 COs), which is much smaller than Haney (32-0, 15 COs). The Theofimo-Haney event is expected to be pointed out Dazn ppv.

Lance pugmire broke the story about the Theofimo-Haney battle on August 16. It seems that Theofimo’s public apology to Turki Alalshikh was effective as he secured his plan B struggle, which he wanted. It is unclear whether Lopez got the money he hoped to get.
Haney hoped to fight a re -broadcast in October with Ryan Garcia, but after his loss of Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero last month, it ruined the option. Devin’s father, Bill Haney, has since talked a storm about the Theofimo fight.
Bill didn’t let anything go. This is the only battle he wanted, and you can’t blame him. Some dangerous predators at 147 and 140 would be wrong for his son, Devin, with the way he became shy and gun-shy since the loss.

Haney against Lopez fight has yet to be announced by Turki Alalshikh. It will be shown on Dazn PPV. The price point is one that the fan will wait to hear.
Hopefully the fight will be more entertaining than the performances Devin and Lopez last month at the Times Square meeting in New York. Both looked like lane stars, moving around the ring, rarely striking and using a Shakur-esque style It had the small VIP crowd game -bound and stone quiet. It was a one-two punch of pure boredom.
Theofimo must revive its old entertaining style for the Haney struggle to make it worthwhile for the fans who buy it on PPV. He must be a hunter to chase Devin to force him to get involved. As Tim Bradley declares, Haney looks like a classic example of a person with PTSD after his loss of Ryan Garcia.
Haney had the appearance of pure fear in his eyes in his collision against the slow, faded Jose Ramirez on Times Square. With the report $ 10 million that Haney received for the fight, it is amazing that he has submitted the kind of performance.
Theofimo’s initial goal was to challenge Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis for his IBF and WBA welterweight titles. When boots showed no interest, Teo focused his attention on Haney.
The date of August 16 places it the same evening as another card with a re -broadcast between Gervonta Davis and Lamont Roach in Las Vegas. It will be interesting to see if the two events interfere with each other.
