Earlier this year, Jordan Brand reimagated her Golf lineup with the introduction of a new golf shoe “Flag”, Air Rev.
A $ 280 dollar shoe with “last” and “bigger” technology.
More like a $ 280 flop.
After spending some time playing at Jordan Air Rev, I can surely say two things:
What do i reported in my initial article (for which I ignited, by the way) was correct, and second, that this is The worst golf shoes I have personally worn this year.
Give me a second to explain. It’s not beautiful.
Bad
So why is Jordan Air Rev so low on my list? There are three major reasons why: construction, withdrawal and flight blocking technology.
Let’s start with construction.
Free -construction

If I was going to give you Jordan Air Rev and ask you to guess the price based on the feeling, I appreciate that most of you would imagine somewhere in the $ 100-130 range. In any world you do not need a synthetic leather shoe like this costs more than the premium products you are getting from Foothy, Adidas and Payntr.
One of the cheapest upper materials I have seen I have seen within a while. She shaves at all the wrong points, and the dress hours left my couple asking as if they were worn for months.
At the top of this, the device (tightening) on the strap is made of plastic, not of metal. Seriously? If I am paying nearly $ 300 for a shoe, I expect the details to feel premium and be polished. I don’t feel like I’m asking a lot.
Not to mention, Jordan Brand is saving money elsewhere in the shoes. The connection system (a dial system) is not an actual Boa dial, meaning JB did not pay the heavy licensing fee for that part of the shoes, although numerous Nike shoes use the real thing. Another strange choice, in my opinion.
retreat

I can’t understand why Jordan/Nike insists on creating their points rather than using something from softspins or similar. Of course, the “points” in Jordan Air Rev are not replaceable, meaning once they are worn, the shoes are toast.
Oh, and they are not particularly effective. It was good in dry conditions, for the most part. But little moisture begins to really affect control negatively. If you generate too much strength and torque, I suspect your oscillation will be compatible with this outside.
Flight blocking technology

Flight Lock technology is the great sales point for Jordan Air Rev. is a history of technology. The basic pillar of its performance. However, in every scenario I threw it into it, I did not notice any performance change.
I didn’t notice the flight blocking technology at all. I couldn’t even feel it. No matter how much I tried.
The idea is quite simple. The shoes have a belt. On the side of the belt, there is a crack to slide into a unit of air enlargement (for your foot track) and a formula23 insert for the lead side. In theory, you need to be able to push against the air enlargement unit in the foot of the trail to help you reach your lead side, where your impact is supported by Formula Foam23.

The problem? Anydo the move I made in the shoes made the straps bend out, making it impossible to feel, rest or up against the air enlargement unit.
In short, it is essentially a $ 280 trick. Harsh? Safe correct? yes
One or two things I liked
It wasn’t everything bad. Only mostly. The actual placement of the pillow is not bad. It is on the strongest side for sure, but it provided good stability with a step -by -step comfort.
Oh, and despite using a current Boa dial, I felt that blocking the current connection system was still quite strong. I fought to get some lower sections of the connection system to tighten, though, so those with an extremely narrow foot may want to look elsewhere.
Not worth your time

If you have overcome to the end, congratulations. You do not need to read all of the above to realize that this shoe is not worth your ancestors.
I can’t even wish Jordan Brand for trying to do something different here. It feels half (perhaps even trimester) valued in all aspects of design, performance and price.
Please, Jordan. Stay in the retro.
