The worst product we’ve ever tried: a year later

It’s been almost a year since I first reviewed Golf And, to be honest, she has been collecting dust since then. I had forgotten where it was until my wife reminded me that it was on the front porch. The box was faded from being in the sun, but inside everything was still there, ready for another round of testing.

Unfortunately.

I initially gave this product a fair blow, hoping it could live up to the bold claims to be a removable, realistic, golf ball. Results? Well, let’s say it was a complete flop.

But I said I would review it if there were updates, so here we are.

The good news? They released an Android version and pushed some patches to improve the experience of the app.

The bad news? Continue to read and I will go in more detail.

What has changed?

Over the past year, I have been paying attention to their updates of disputes. According to their dispute, they have added:

  • An Android version of fully released
  • More ways and courses of the game
  • Some young avatar (that is something, I think)
  • Different patches and error adjustments

But the essential complaints have not changed much. Basically, all the issues I have found before are still largely present. Users in their dispute still report:

  • Tracking shot in opposition
  • Apps
  • Delay
  • Controversial consistency of matte
  • Limited Club Selection (Still 8-Herkuri, 9-Well, wedge that bite, sand wedge)

I have managed the MygolfSpy Forum for a few years, so I know how internet reactions tend to work. Loud voices are usually in both extremes – people who love the product and those who are fully saturated. After all, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

So I dust the unit, reinstalized the app and done at work.

App

On the surface, the app has improved. Navigation feels a little softer and they have added three essential courses (all 10 -hole appearances) for variety. This is a beautiful touch.

But then I clicked on the “Socialists” tab and the app immediately crashed. Not a great start.

A side note that troubled me was the request to enter my phone number to get into the app. I take it for security permit and such, but given my past experience, I was very reluctant to do so and this escort test almost ended right there.

That was said, I was curious if there were improvements, so I crossed it and got into.

The biggest reported problem is still accuracy. Many users in their disagreement say that if your 9-hunger only goes 60-70 yards, you just have to switch to a sharp wedge for better numbers. This tells me that the basic issues of distance calculation are not really regulated.

Then I tried my first goal in a par-3 with 54 yards and immediately shook my head. A short Par-3 should be manageable, but knowing how the system fought with distance in the past, I was not optimistic.

Graphs are okay, but let’s be honest, I’m not here for a visual masterpiece. The whole experience still feels like a Wii sport golf game. This is where this first trial ended. Indeed, I was not in the right mentality to spend the rest and decided to go back to another day with a more optimistic or hopeful perspective.

Experience a year later

I don’t want to be the carrier of bad news, but let’s get the right to him. There is no way that I can support or recommend this product. At all times

With a better mind frame next day, I opened the app and jumped into a 56 -degree wedge game as it is apparently more accurate. The setting was quite fast, but I noticed that you have to be far further from the phone than the last time it caused its issues. The good part is the description of the place where it should be everything is very clear and makes a simple composition.

However, here are the issues.

Distance means that it is harder to see shooting. Yes, you can connect with a TV, but I imagine that most people are just trying to use this on their phone.

The app gives you five seconds to enter the position and swing in order to record the goal. That window of time is missing and you have no luck. Simply put: This is not enough time. Feels hasty. And because there is no automatic detection (a feature they have said in many cases is coming), you feel more like you are competing against the clock to start the shot and race back to the mattress to swing than to create a good pace.

If you manage to register how to register properly, it should be what you feel like permanently for the stroke to appear on the screen. That would be good if the results were correct.

They are not.

The essential issue is still extremely present. Accuracy and yards are extremely unstable and, honestly, laughter.

Now, if I’m looking for a slight glow of hope, it’s the look with slow swing motion while analyzing the result. You can see enough of your movement so that it is a useful tool if you know what you are looking for. But, honestly, the integrated Slow-Mo phone camera does the same job without the disappointments of the app.

Please note that the smile is due to another collision in what was just as good for a swing as I can do.

Then where do we stay?

A year later, I wanted to see a glow of hope that it had made progress for at least making this a functional product.

Sadly, it is simply not. Errors and shortcomings exceed the possible benefits. Issues I have raised in my original review are still bright and with so many best alternatives now available, I cannot see any reason for this product to be bought in its current state.

For some, the idea of using your current club may seem like a benefit. But I really think it damages the overall functionality of this product. Now you need space to swing a full club while other options like Square Golf, Golf+ VR and Phigolf allow you to practice quietly indoors, even with standard ceiling heights.

The fact that you need to swing down and create an impression on the mattress is another sticker. I understand why it should be done this way, but I still think it adversely affects your pace. You train you to hit on the mattress which is not necessarily an action you want to keep in the course.

Sustainability is still a major concern. Yes, you can buy extra mattresses but at $ 50 for two, I can’t recommend that investment.

If you are looking for positive, I really can’t provide any. I waited much better a year later. Instead, I met the same disappointments – just now available on Android besides iOS.

If you want a fun experience, game -like golf, look at this article (The best (and worst) sims of golf who do not use a golf ball). It breaks down the best options for players looking to play and practice without using a ball.

verdict

Avoid period

There are better opportunities there. This is my last update for this product as I want zero to return to it.

Their community has expressed many disappointments similar to mine. While creators continue to suggest that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, I just don’t see it.
