Leeds United have reportedly tabled a £3.3m bid (including performance-related bonuses) to sign UD Leiria midfielder Dje D’avilla.
This is according to Sport TV Portugal reporter Sebastiao Sousa Pintowho say an official offer has been made for the 21-year-old Ivorian defensive midfielder.
D’avilla, who currently plays in Portugal’s second division, has attracted the interest of several clubs, but a possible move to the Elland Road club is facing complications over work permit issues, it is believed.
Another issue is the fact that the youngster only signed a new contract until the summer of 2027 a few months ago, with a £12.5m release clause attached to that deal.
Sousa Pinto told X, formerly known as Twitter, via MOTLeds: “Leeds United have made an offer to sign Djé D’avilla for an amount of 3.3 million pounds, including targets. A move to England is considered difficult because of the work permit. Several clubs have shown interest in signing the midfielder.”
The midfield position, however, is one of the most well-stocked areas in Daniel Farke’s squad, with Ilia Gruev and Ethan Ampadu returning from injury.
