These restrictions were triggered by rising military tensions in the Middle East, forcing airlines to cancel or reroute flights that normally go through Gulf transit hubs.
Not to mention that the West Indies head coach Darren Sammy had previously expressed genuine frustration at the lack of clarity over the team’s travel arrangements.
