The wedges can be as personal as the putters, and looking at the ones used by the top pros at SG: Around-the-Green in 2025, it’s clear that there are many different ways to get the ball closer to the hole.
While a brand, Titleist’s Vokey Wedgesdominates this list with six of the top-10, and each of the top-4 players, has only one recurring contention between the six lobby wedges. It’s no surprise to see both Patton Kizzire and Russell Henley use the SM10 T-Grind for their wedges, which is one of Vokey’s most popular drives on the PGA Tour.
But among the top-10, A+, A, L and K*-grinds Also consider the wedge choices as a lob, featuring the variety of different delivery patterns and stroke priority among the PGA Tour’s best wedge players this season.
The interesting thing is that all of those grinds would be considered low or mid-bloat bids Vokey and only T-grind is available at Vokey’s retail lineup.
The rest of the top 10 is rounded out by three Cleveland wedge users and one Callaway wedge user.

For every shot, every lie, every course, there’s a matchup fit for your swing. Finding the right grind to suit your swing and playing conditions will give you the best pitch interaction, contact and impact performance. Master golfer Bob Vokey has spent decades creating, developing and refining his proven tournament skills to suit players of all skill levels. Anyone can make a wedge, but it takes a craftsman to turn a piece of high-performance technology into an instrument of creative control. Bob’s six tournament-proven grips are designed to deliver maximum creativity, versatility and durability, all meticulously developed over years of working with the world’s best players. PROGRESSIVE CENTER OF GRAVITY The SM9 features a progressive center of gravity (CG) throughout the loft, which optimizes flight, accuracy and ball forgiveness. By using narrow top lines and different tube lengths, Vokey’s research and development team has raised the CG height to higher lofts, which promotes a lower and more controlled flight. The CG is also forward of the face, resulting in increased MOI, incredible feel and a clubface that just wants to square up at impact. SPIN MILLED GROOVES SM9’s patented Spin Milled Grooves are meticulously engineered through a new cutting process to maximize spin and durability. The process begins by cutting the face perfectly flat with a high-speed saw. Then each groove is cut individually based on the loft and finish; low lofts (46°-54°) are designed with narrower, deeper grooves, while higher lofts (56°-62°) have wider, shallower grooves. Micro-grooves are individually cut between channels, which maximize centrifugation in fractional firing. A special heat treatment is applied to the impact area, which doubles the durability of the groove without affecting the feel, making it the most durable golf groove. The process is only complete when each Vokey wedge is 100% inspected for maximum quality and performance.

Cleveland RTZ Custom Wedge
The all-new RTZ wedges are made with Z-Alloy, an all-new steel formula that enables a zero-compromise design approach for exceptional feel, better stability and more durability for our best-performing Tour Wedges yet. Plus, there’s an all-new ADAPT grind featuring full-face grooves to give the RTZ Wedges more versatility than ever before. Z-Alloy Z-Alloy is a brand new steel with a better feel. It is softer, lighter and extremely durable. It gives the RTZ Wedges superior feel, better forgiveness and more durability. In the RTZ Tour Rack Wedges, the rust-resistant properties of Z-Alloy ensure more durable, like-new performance. HydraZip HydraZip is a unique system of face punches and laser grinding lines formulated to maximize spin performance in wet conditions. This technology is dynamically configured by the loft clusters, which helps balance rotation across the loft, while maximizing rotation in adverse conditions. ZipCore This low-density core technology replaces the heavier material in the heel and toe area with a lightweight, low-density, vibration-damping material. This proprietary core allows us to move the center of gravity closer to where you hit the ball, while simultaneously increasing MOI. UltiZip UltiZip’s sharper grooves cut through grass and debris on contact, while deeper grooves help create space for grass, sand, dirt or water to clear the impact area, giving RTZ Wedges stronger and more consistent spin from the fairway, rough or bunker.

SPIN POCKETâ„¢ CONSTRUCTION A re-engineered 2-piece construction head design strategically reshapes the mass to optimize CG locations. The Spin Pocket redistributes top weight, raising the CG and promoting a lower, more penetrating launch. The result is more spin and improved control, especially when you need to fly shots or attack tight pins. NEW SPIN GEN 2.0 FACEâ„¢ The most advanced face in OPUS history. A new 17° groove angle with narrower pitch spacing gives more contact with the edges of the groove for more consistent spin across a variety of lies. Combined with a deeper cross laser pattern across the face, Spin Gen 2.0 produces improved friction for more bite and stopping power on all types of approach shots. SHAPE 6 – TOUR RATED PROFILE Trusted by Tour players for clean, confident address looks, Shape 6 offers precise leading edge shaping and refined sole geometry. Shape 6 is the 6th and final iteration in the Opus prototype shaping phase, proven by Tour players and major champions.
