Shakur Stevenson told Lamont Roach Jr. on social media today that they will manage it if this other fight does not go through. ‘The one that Shakur (24-0, 11 COs) refers to is against Theofimo Lopez, who bothered and tried to fight online.
The sound of silence
TheOFIMO initially showed interest in the fight against Shakur, saying that he would cry like a lil b **** after he turned off. However, Teo has since become silent, which is a sign that he was concerned about the short end of the stick like Stevenson’s last opponent, William Zepeda, in Queens in July.
Zepeda threw nearly 1000 strokes and scrapped with a wide margin. The judges recorded it for Shakur as if it were a blow -out with these scores:
Shakur’s untouchable boxing class
The scores have shown that Shakur can be pushed out and still wins with a wide margin. In other words, he is in the untouchable class where Floyd Mayweather jr. You can’t hit him through a decision. You can only win by striking him, which is almost impossible with the way he moves around to prevent you from being beaten with head shots against fighters. The only reason Stevenson stands still against Zepeda is that he is not a Power Puncher. He is a volume of guy.
Theofimo does not want the Zepeda treatment of the judges. So, this can explain why he became quiet, and no longer give false hope for a fight. With Lopez no longer showing interest, Shakur has to target one of the feasible battles against one of these contenders:
– Andy Cruz
– Herrera Cores
-Ennesto Mercado: 140 Pounds Mind
– Floyd Schofield
If Shakur wants to fight someone from the 140 -pound division, he must follow Gary Antuanne Russell, Richardson Hitchins or Subriel Matias.
The problem with two runners
Turki Alalshikh will find it difficult to sell a fight between the two Jerry-Esque fighters, Shakur and Roach, on Dazn PPV. Fans don’t want to look in a chess match all night. It only works to fit a defensive man like them against pure sluggers who will chase them. At least the battle will sell.
The same mentality champion if this other fight does not go through, we have gone @Oneof1x 💯 https://t.co/mibfkf267j
