Janni “”ck Sinner is the best player in the world and a harsh reality check Daniel Medvedev.
The top-ranked Sinner has won seven of his last eight meetings against Medvedev ahead of their second-round clash on Wednesday at the ATP Finals in Turin.

In a harrowing Australian Open final last January, Sinner came back from a two-set deficit to prevail Daniel Medvedev 3-6, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 to capture his first major championship.
The 22-year-old Sinner made history as the first Italian to win the singles crown at the Australian Open and follows the legendary Adriano Pannatta, Roland Garros champion in 1976, as the first Italian in 48 years to win a Grand Slam title trophy.
Ahead of their rematch in Turin, Medvedev said the hardest challenge of facing the Italian is that you can play your best tennis and still lose.
“I think it will sound strange because I’ve lost a lot of matches, but tactically I know what I have to do,” Medvedev told the media in Turn. “It’s just a problem that the guy plays really well. You can play the best match possible tactically, tennis-wise, and you can still lose. That’s the reality. It’s not an easy reality.
“Now like I said after the match today, I’m ready, I go out, I play tennis, I lose easy, it’s okay. I win easy, it’s perfect. I lose hard, it’s okay. I win hard, it’s okay. I’m going to I’ll see how it goes, I’ll try to prepare well from a tactical point of view.
