Vessel Golf is known, first and foremost, as a golf bag company. They’re not cheap, but they’ve been a fixture on the MyGolfSpy medal stand since we started testing golf bags. We’re not the only ones who think so, as are Vessel golf bags a match on the PGA and LIV tours.
Over the past few years, however, boat owner Ronnie Shaw has expanded into more travel and lifestyle gear (there’s also a lot of pickle gear, but I don’t want to go down that particular rabbit hole). After careful consideration, here are five non-golf articles we think are worth checking out.
#1: PrimeX Backpack
Frequent travelers know the indisputable truth: cheap luggage is not good; good luggage is not cheap.
At $269, PrimeX Ship Backpack it’s not cheap, but you’ll probably get tired before it wears off.
Like the ship’s golf bags, the PrimeX backpack has well-organized pockets. It’s big enough to hold a 15-inch laptop, with velor-lined front and side pockets for your mobile phone and other valuables. #2: Signature laundry

Dressing rooms are extremely simple. It’s a cage-style suitcase that doubles as a carry-on or a simple street-fighting bag. However, if you pull the zippers all the way down, you’ll find a built-in clothing compartment suitable for a few shirts and a sport coat. Once you seal those items inside, you roll the compartment back up and turn the bag back into a jar.
The boat wears it a little with the interior zippered compartment and pockets they say are for shoes, but I’m not 100 percent sold on that. As usual, Vessel throws in a little sumthin’ sumthin’ that many others forget: a bag strap to fit over the handle of a roller suitcase.

#3: Soft and hard travel bags
Travel golfers have their own principle: protect your golfers as you would protect your family. Shocking as it may be, not everyone treats your clubs like the precious jewels they are. The ship is soft Golf Travel Case 2.0 it’s designed to fit any bag in the ship’s lineup, including staff bags (we’ll go out on a limb and say non-ship bags will fit, too). It’s roomy, easy to load and features a thick padded top for an extra layer of protection.
What makes the bag interesting is that it is expandable. It features side zipper closures to make the bag more compact for your stay bag. You can strip the helmets to expand the bag for trolleys or personnel bags.
Hard travel cases are waning in popularity, but they still have their fans (especially airlines). The ship cooperated with SKB in his difficult case. It’s pretty standard for a hard case, with a TSA lock, what Vessel calls “industrial strength latches,” and thick foam padding. It will easily handle a duffel bag or stroller, but you’ll need to leave the staff bag at home.
The hard case also comes with up to $1,500 in protection to cover any golf clubs damaged during travel.

#4: Very nice covers
I don’t know about you, but thanks to friends’ recent road trips, I have a lot of wood driver and freeway covers. They are the ultimate pro-shop impulse buy.
I’m trying to cut back, but Vessel isn’t making it easy with its collection of stylish and clean leather covers. Old school truth Leather golf headgear ($69) is like taking a time machine back to 1973. It’s all white with a simple black 1, 3 or 5.
The Lux Embosse headboards are also genuine leather and come in six different styles in white, black or very sweet. Smooth brown. They have a great number, embedded, and are available for hybrid, freeway and driver ($79-99).

It attaches to your bag with internal straps and offers plenty of room to grab a stick. Additionally, it features an easy-access magnetic closure system instead of a zipper.
If you’re heading to Scotland, Ireland, Cape Breton or Bandon, you’ll want to be prepared for the humidity. One of these cubbies will go a long way in keeping your sticks safe from the rain.
