The ring updated their latest heavyweight ranking with Tyson Fury surprisingly on #1 despite a 0-2 Record In his last two battles. It should be enough to remove ‘The Gypsy King’ from the judgments from the ring.
Kabayel’s dominance
Agit Kabayel was placed on the updated list under Fury and Joseph Parker. The rankings are far too low. The way Kabayel (26-0, 18 CO’s) has beaten Fury and Parker.
Kabayel did a much better job of defeating Zhilei Zhang than Parker did and knocked him out in the sixth round in his last fight in February. In contrast, Parker was dropped twice by Zhang and forced to take the 12-round distance to win a majority decision in 2024.

Why Fury is not Top 10
Except for Fury’s strangeness at number 1, the rest of the rankings are not too bad in comparison, but still not good. If Tyson’s career was still steaming like when he defeated Deontay Wilder for the second time in 2021, a #1 would be logical.
Fury’s victories have since faced fewer fighters, such as Dereck Chisora, Dillian Whyte and Francisco Ngannou. Is this pity ranking? Did the ring Fury give his number 1 rankings based on his achievements in the past many years ago? It’s hard not to see it that way, because if you go through Tyson’s 0-2 record and his controversial ten-round split decisions about Ngannou, he doesn’t belong in the top 10 of the best heavyweights.
If you lose twice and become a decision against a 0-0 outlook, Ngannou, do not judge you on a top 10 or even top 15 of the best heavyweight lists.
Parker’s soft schedule
The ring has Joseph Parker on #2. He has not beaten anyone to save himself since he was knocked out by Joe Joyce in 2022. Parker’s recent victories have since come to 310 pounds of Martin Bakole, 42-year-old Zhilei Zhang and 39-year-old Deontay Wilde. It is not good enough for Parker to earn a #2 rankings unless we lowered the bar for what is needed to receive the highlight of a place.
