Ben Griffin’s decision to wear sunglasses on the course is not what you might think

Ben Griffin has been a constant in PGA Tour leadership tables this season.

Griffin went to see an eye doctor who told him his retina was starting to break away.
“I had retina holes, so I had to go essentially laser operations to fill those holes,” Griffin said. “I had eight retinal holes in both eyes, so I risk losing sight, maybe within five or six months, if I didn’t get the treatment. So I still see navigators. I had to surgery everywhere.”

So seeing the contours is definitely a little easier, I think with the sunglasses. And now, I think I’m reaching the point where I have more and more fans and people like it, so I’m not going.”
