The PXG Allan ZT Zero Torque Insert is getting longer

Do you often find yourself looking down and saying “Man, I wish it was longer.”?

If so, PXG has something you’ll want to check out.

Not only does PXG have something longer for you to wrap your hands around, but it’s likely to be heavier and more durable than what you’re packing right now.

Of course, I’m talking about the new long version of the PXG Allan ZT board.

What did you think I was talking about?

Allan put PXG on the map with zero torque

When the PXG Allan ZT was released, it shook up the hunting corral. The Allan was the first putter to perform at a level similar to LAB Golf’s balanced lie angle putters that dominate the market.

Head to head, LAB Golf DF3 beat Allanbut the margin was so close that we knew the Couple Wars had begun.

Since the release of the Allan, PXG has released a number of other zero-torque rigs. Their S tube design allowed PXG to create zero torque builds with multiple head shapes.

It started with the original Allan ZT, and black version of the Allan ZT followed not long after The PXG Bat Attack ZT showed that you can make a fang-shaped shooter have zero torque.

PXG also applied their zero torque design to the blade setters. Although a little on the large side, PXG Hellcat ZT AND PXG Mustang ZT are much more blade shaped than other models.

Over the course of a year, PXG made it clear that they were going to be serious players in the zero-torque machine market.

Allan’s zero-torque stability in a longer package

The new PXG Allan ZT Long Putter isn’t aiming to shake up the zero-torque market. Instead, it was created to meet the needs of a specific subset of golfers, those who struggle with traditional length players.

For whatever reason, certain players perform better with tall players. The reasons may be physiological or psychological, but the fact is that the long putter helps some golfers make shots that they would miss with a traditional length putter.

Those golfers are who PXG is targeting with this release. For them, the benefits of stocking the PXG Allan ZT Long Putter will be twofold.

Not only do they get a gauge that has the length they need, but they also benefit from Allan’s zero-torque design.

Not everyone will benefit from switching to a long putter, or even a zero torque putter. However, for players who need both of these features in their game, the 45″ shaft and 480g head of the PXG Allan ZT Long Putter make it a must-have.
