“Eintracht believed in me and placed their trust in me. I want to repay that trust with good performances and goals. Whatever happens in the distant future, however, does not interest me. I want to continue to do my best so that in the end of the season we can say as a team: we have achieved something big”.

However, a sale for a club like Frankfurt that is not blessed with the riches of Europe’s top teams is inevitable as long as the right offer is made, Krosche also confirmed.

“This is an agreement we make with the boys. That’s why we have the opportunity to recruit so many exciting players, because they realize they can take the next step in Frankfurt.”

Referring to previous deals such as Randal Kolo Muani’s 2023 switch to Paris Saint-Germain for €90m, he noted: “Decisions like these have to be made from a global perspective. It’s not just sporting things, but also more, that is to say, the club as a whole.

“We have a certain market value in mind for each of our players. And if a club comes along that pays that, we’ll let the player go as well. We always try to be prepared for that eventuality.”
