The Philadelphia Phillies finished the 2024 season as National League East champions with a record of 95 wins and 67 losses.
Although they won the division, the Phillies were upset by the New York Mets in the National League Division Series.
The Phillies have had a disappointing playoff run after winning the National League Championship Series the past two seasons and the World Series in 2022.
After their NLDS loss to the Mets, the Phillies made a surprising move and put the veteran player on the trade block.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Phillies are willing to trade Alec Bohm in an attempt to shake up their roster after the NLDS loss.

Bohm entered the league with the Phillies in 2020 and has played all five seasons of his MLB career with the organization.
Bohm played 143 games in 2024, where he batted .280 with 15 home runs, 97 RBI and a .779 OPS, good enough to earn him an All-Star selection.
Although Bohm had an exceptional regular season, he had one hit in 13 at-bats through four postseason games.
Bohm was selected to his first career All-Star Game in 2024, and he should get the attention of other teams now that the Phillies have announced they are willing to part ways with him.
The Phillies have a ton of star power on their roster, and it will be interesting to see what they get in return if they trade Boehm.
In 2025, the Phillies will attempt to repeat as NL East champions for the first time since they won the division five straight years from 2007-2011.
