Scottie Scheffler’s Winning the Procore Championship in September came with a question that the world number 1 probably did not expect.

Scheffler was alone in Napa for a Ryder Cup tune-up with his teammates. Scheffler barely beat teammate Ben Griffin, leaving Lanto Griffin in third, wishing Scheffler wasn’t on the field. With Napa not being a regular stop on Scheffler’s schedule, the four-time grand champion left the country this summer without a definitive answer on whether to defend his title.
“I hardly know what I’m going to do tomorrow, let alone a year from now,” Scheffler said at the time. “It’s always nice to have an opportunity to come in and defend your championship, but we’ll have to cross that bridge when we get there. I’ve been pretty consistent with that over time. I don’t like committing to tournaments if I don’t know for sure I’m going to play.”
However, Scheffler does not have to answer this question anymore The PGA Tour released the 2026 FedEx Cup fall schedule without the Procore Championship in the lineup. The Procore Championship is held at Napa’s Silverado Country Club, which has hosted an event in back-to-back years since 2007. The Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Mississippi, is also no longer on the list. The Jackson Tour has been a part of the PGA Tour in one form or another since 1968.
The fall FedEx Cup proposition is an eight-tournament sprint to determine PGA Tour cards and eligibility for the upcoming season. With the Procore Championship now off the schedule, the fall proposal will now begin at the Biltmore Championship Asheville in North Carolina at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove. This is the first PGA Tour event in the area in more than 80 years, when Ben Hogan won the Asheville Open in 1940, ’41 and ’42.
After the stop in Asheville, the PGA Tour will head to the Bank of Utah Championship at Black Desert Resort before heading overseas for the Baycurrent Classic at Yokohama Country Club in Japan. The Butterfield Bermuda Championship will be the fourth stop on the fall schedule before the Tour heads to Mexico for a two-stop swing with the VidantaWorld Mexico Open and World Technology Championship.
The PGA Tour will then head to Austin, Texas, for it Good good championship at the Omni Baron Creek Resort and Spa. This will be Good Good’s inaugural championship and will be the tour’s first in Austin in three years.
The FedEx Cup fall season will conclude at the RSM Classic at Sea Island Golf Club.
