The PGA Tour Players Advisory Council will have some familiar (and some fresh) faces on it for the 2025 season.
of The Tour announced the 16 players who will make up the KPK on Tuesday. The list, which comes from pros in various sections of last year’s FedEx Cup rankings, includes several top players returning for another season in the PAC, as well as four freshmen. The PAC advises the PGA Tourism Policy Board and Commissioner Jay Monahan on matters affecting the tournament. Last year, the PAC made several recommendations that included optimizing field sizes, adjusting the distribution of FedEx Cup points and changing the eligibility system for the PGA Tour.
Here are this year’s PAC golfers:
- Scottie Scheffler
- Justin Thomas
- Rickie Fowler
- Max Homa
- Sam Burns
- Brian Harman
- Gary Woodland
- Brandt Snedeker
- Kevin Kisner
- Charlie Hoffman
- Maverick McNealy
- Keith Mitchell
- The Power of Seamus
- Max McGreavy
- Eric Cole
- Trevor Cone
Cone, Cole, McGreavy and Woodland are serving on the PAC for the first time in their careers. Scheffler, Thomas, Burns, Homa, Harman, Power, McNealy and Mitchell return from last year’s PAC.
Nick Hardy, Mackenzie Hughes, Lanto Griffin, Adam Schenk, Nick Taylor, Kevin Streelman, Josh Teater and Camilo Villegas did not return after serving last year. Villegas is now a director player on the policy board.
The PAC will elect a chairman at a later date.
The news comes on the same day that Thomas sent a letter to other players asking them to be more open to helping the media by giving them more access and knowledge. This includes mid-round interviews, one-round microphones, etc.
“The more I’ve watched documentaries and specials on streaming services on other sports, the more I’ve come to realize that the main reason I love them so much is the access they provide and the knowledge the players are giving me; a fan of them and their craft,” Thomas wrote. “I had no interest in rooting for certain players, teams, coaches before watching a bunch of shows and games. But the way some of them show their cards and how they go about everything makes me an even bigger fan.
“I’m sure many of us think broadcast TV could be better, so let’s help them do that.”
Thomas has previously been against the mic during a round, but has changed his tune on this one. He wore a headset during the second round of the 2023 Masters and has been walking and talking the course during the World Hero Challenge and Sentry in recent months.
After being selected to the PAC for the second year in a row, Thomas will have another opportunity to help shape the face of the Tour going forward.
