The Baltimore Orioles ended their 2024 season by being eliminated in the first round of the postseason after losing to the Kansas City Royals in the wild-card round.
After back-to-back seasons that showed promise, the Orioles lost their first playoff series and didn’t win a game in the series.
As the Orioles prepare for the 2025 season, they announced eight moves the team has made on Monday.
According to the Baltimore Orioles’ X, the moves included Serantoni Dominguez, Ryan O’Hearn, Cionel Perez, Danny Coulomb, Felix Bautista, Kyle Bradish, Jorge Mateo and Tyler Wells.

The Orioles elected to exercise the 2025 club option for right-handed pitcher Dominguez, infielder/outfielder O’Hearn and left-handed pitcher Perez.
Coulomb was the only player declared with the Orioles declining their 2025 club option.
Right-handed pitchers Bautista, Bradish and Wells, along with infielder/outfielder Mateo, were all reinstated from the 60-day injured list.
The Orioles have missed the postseason the last two years, but they have had productive regular seasons since winning the American League East in 2023 after winning 101 games.
Bringing back Dominguez and Perez would give the Orioles a veteran presence in their bullpen, as both of these players entered the league in 2018.
O’Hearn is another player who has been in the league since 2018 and has played 142 games for the Orioles in 2024, hitting .264 with 15 home runs, 59 runs batted in and a .761 on-base plus slugging percentage.
While the Orioles are already making moves, a big name to keep an eye on as the season progresses is free agent Anthony Santander, who hit 44 home runs in 2024.
