The key to a Terence Crawford victory over Canelo: Trainer Ronnie Shields says “Anyone Smartly” and uses Speed

Coach Ronnie Shields says Terence Crawford will have to “engage” with Canelo Alvarez and do more than he would otherwise make to make a decision. He believes that if the rounds are close, Canelo (63-2-2, 39 COs) will be given by the judges based on his popularity.

It would have been better if Crawford had a good experience, but Turki Alalshikh didn’t want to put his feet on the fire and prove himself against David Benavidez, David Morrell or Diego Pacheco. For years Crawford fought at 135, 140 and 147, and he never fought great opposition. He was a counter-puncher, South Poot and a mover who made him someone to avoid.
