Few kits in the history of football are as recognizable instantly as the Jersey of the 1978 World Cup in Peru: a crunchy white canvas that was reduced with that daring and diagonally Red Sash. Although the team did not go over the group stage that year, the appearance became an icon.
Now, Adidas is reviving that legendary design as part of his “returning” series, and it is a beauty.
After his recent drops celebrating the fifty anniversary of Argentina and the centenary of Colombia, Adidas now makes the spotlight The whiterroja.
The capsule, entitled “Porta Back of 78”, revives the long sleeve version of Peru’s 78 jersey in detail: the sash is sharp, the clean silhouette and the original Adidas Trefoil logo proudly sits on the chest: a glance at the time it came from.
The launch does not stop on the shirt. Also included are the corks and bottoms of the red track, each with the signature of Adidas three stripes and with the Retro ridge of Peru, raising the gaze to a complete adjustment inspired by the heritage.
To celebrate the launch, Adidas brought together increasing legends and stars. 1978 Heroes such as Héctor Chumpitaz and Teófilo Cubillas join forces with current national figures (Paolo Guerrero, Mafer Reyes, Flavia Montes, Ian Wisdom and Fabiola Herrera) in a symbolic celebration of the lasting legacy of Peruvian football.
Is more than a sweater: it is a bridge through generations, a story that can be brought and a tribute with strong appearance The whiterroja’s past.
The collection “Back Back of 78” is now available at Prodirectsport.com.
