Manchester United was hit by 1-0 by Tottenham in the European League final.
The Red Devils, who trusted the Europa League to save their season, suffered a defeat against Ange Postecoglou’s side in Bilbao.
This defeat gets worse for Ruben Amorim and his players next season.
They have not been able to qualify for the Champions League next season. Not only that, they will not participate in any European competition next season.
It not only hits them financially, but also in terms of how they want to build a promising project in the club.

After the game, Amorim spoke to the media and stated that he will leave the club if he is told that he is not the right man for work.
“If the board and fans feel that I am not the right guy I will go the next day”, said Amorim, as reported Sky Sports.
“But I will not leave again.
“At this point, I’m not here to defend -me. It’s not my style. I have nothing to show the fans. At this time (I need) a little faith.”
With the United standing at 16th place in the League and passing its worst season at the Premier League, the Europa League final has come as a call to wake up the club and has shown once again that problems are much more serious than what most people believe.
They have spent money on new signings in recent years and have exceeded most occasions, but the results have still been disappointed in all competitions.

It remains to see what the future is for Amorim at Old Trafford, but for the moment it is not well seen.
The club has been given enough time to flip, but the performances, as well as the results, have been extremely poor.
There has been no improvement in terms of man management, game decisions and his tactical approach.
