Per Frank Bay: In a recent interview, Clarissa Shields, who impresses her best captain, said that Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis needs help after his recent performance. Not your typical boxing advice, as maybe a new coach needs, or should be more aggressive, no shields have suggested anything taboo.
Shields acknowledged that she was looking for therapy during her boxing career and suggested that this is what Gervonta needs. It is a very different kind of help. Looking for professional therapy can be seen as a great weakness. The running gag on the ‘The Sopranos’ program was that Tony Soprano secretly got therapy.
That was because if the crowd knew that Tony was talking to a therapist, he would be beaten. For obvious reasons, he may tell the secrets of the crowd, but more importantly, it is considered by men as a weakness. Especially in a macho sports such as boxing, it can be a kill.
Fighters can hear that Tank sees a shrink and thinks he’s done. But times have changed, and mental health is a real thing. Ryan Garcia and Danny Garcia are new and old era fighters who revealed that they need help for mental health. The looking for help of mental health in today’s era became acceptable, not only for men in the mainstream association, but also for men in Ultra Macho sports such as boxing, where a spiritual lead is the key.
Retiring -talk
Clarissa based her opinion on hearing tank about retirement. Many fans, media members and people within the boxing industry also noted that the tank talking was a red flag going into the Lamont Roach fight. Ryan Garcia also delivered his opinion stating that tanks retirement talk was the reason he lost.
Ryan felt that he couldn’t hit the gears he needed when he had adversity with retirement in the mind of tanks. In a sport like boxing, self-doubt can be a biggest obstacle. It is difficult to stay clean and protect against the downfall of life if you are the man. The fame, the money, the women and all your new friends are the easiest ways to lose sight of you.
Your God has given abilities. And for the small 5’2 Gervonta Davis coming from the slums of Baltimore, he was born in both his fists with dynamite. However, Davis is not strange to the law. Davis is happy to be a free man, considering that he was involved in a hit and run. Justice was served, and Tank immediately went back into the ring to make a lot of money for many people.
Opinions are like a-holes
Opinions are what makes boxing wonderful. But there are opinions based on facts and opinions based on narratives, lies or semi -truths. Tank Davis is a polarizing figure in the boxing community. But I’ll give you a fact, Tank Davis is a star, he puts seats in seats and brings attention to media and social media.
He was half the last mega-box PPV when he defeated Ryan Garcia; This is a fact. An opinion is that the PPV was only successful because Ryan Garcia has an enormous fan of social media. This is for debate. Maybe where, maybe not. The fact remains that his commercial success cannot be taken away from him.

From opposing drivers from fighters to promoters to the families involved, everyone wants a piece of tank Davis because he represents life -changing money for all parties.
An opinion is that Tank Davis only enjoys this success because he is a manufactured fighter. It was a fact that his promoter at the time, Floyd Mayweather, was quoted that he was saying ‘late tank alone’ when he was questioned about opponents that fans and media asked him to challenge.
He is protected because he earns a lot of money for many people. The Lamont Roach battle proved to the people with the opinions that Tank was indeed protected and exposed to cherry picking. It is a fact that the injury did nothing to influence his star, and one can argue that people are more intrigued to see if Tank can find its greatness.
Repeat repeat?
I’m not here to say what the tank needs or not. It is my opinion that he naturally needs some kind of help, but what help, I am not competent to answer. Perhaps Gervonta mentally checked out of the box and no longer has the driving or killer instinct?
Maybe Davis just needs technical boxing aid, as he should be more aggressive during his fights. Many experts have always claimed that Tank does not throw many bumps and loses rounds because he relies on his power to sponsor him. Was it an evening off, or was the tank never so good to start with?
Everything for debate. But Clarissa brings about a more striking, meaningful question: Does Gervonta need something much deeper than box? It is now popular for athletes such as Deontay Wilder to go on an Ayahuasca Review to fight demons and seek peace and clarity in the notorious boxing sports.
Wilder claims that it made him a better man. I will tell you what Tank Davis needs, he needs a win over Lamont Roach, so my captain calls obvious. What I hear about fans is that they finally want Davis to stop criticism by fighting the big names fans and the media claims to have avoided.
I don’t have to tell you the names because people know, but when the re -broadcast comes, Tank Davis must silence the critics and make a statement by stopping Lamont Roach. Anything less than a tank Davis knockout, and the sharks will smell blood.
Another controversial decision, and it can all be over for Tank Davis in terms of the face of boxing. Nothing less than a spectacular tank performance, and it may indicate that it’s time to walk away. A loss and tank Davis can retire very well, and we will never see him fighting again. It would be a shame.
