The former Cape of recruiting Tottenham Hotspur, Steve Hitchen, has stated that the club approached both Jack Grealish and Frenkie de Jong during his time at the club.
Hitchen’s time with Spurs began as an explorer, helping to recruit Luka Modric in 2008, and also helped Liverpool to reach an agreement to sign Luis Suárez after moving to Ancield two years later. He would end again with Spurs in 2017 as a new head head, before leaving once again in 2022.
