Hal Sutton He had a career preserved PGA Tour, winning 14 times, including a PGA championship and two player championships. Sutton also played in four teams Ryder Cup and captain the US team in 2004.
These days, Sutton, 67, is not playing more golf after replacing both his knees and his knee. But he remains full of stories and penetrating perspectives from his impressive career, as he demonstrated during his appearance invited to this week’s episode.
As one of the few players forced to compete against the two biggest players of the game, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods, co-president of Knost Knost wanted to know: What is the difference between them? Sutton had a ready response.
“We’re talking about two different eras here,” Sutton began. “They both reached their incredible ball. They were both one of the longest players of their time, big drivers, both, excellent long iron players, medium cuffs, short cuffs.
“I would say Jack is throwing the ball and tearing the ball were not in the tiger league,” he continued. “I’m just being honest. He hit the goal when he needed it, but what Jack did so good is for him to play in his strengths and away from his weaknesses. Tiger did it too, but, you know, Tiger was, he was fearless. I am not sure he would lie as much as Jack did.”
Sutton said Nicklaus shone in an area that is not so important in today’s modern game.
“Jack was an incredible 3rd“He said.” 3-Dru is not even in the game anymore.
“I have done Little designAnd I worked with a couple of boys and, you know, 3-dru are not in the game. They do not have shots where you use in 3rd. And Jack used 3-dude all the time for a thing called position. No one thinks about the position more away. “
