The critical need for uncontrolled theater in Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford’s Superfight promotion

The overall fan perception of yesterday’s Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford breakdown at the press conference was that it was staged, a poorly acted marketing problem by both fighters for their upcoming Superfight.

CANELO-CRAWFORD SUCCESSION: Raised perception

There was a lack of sincere conviction during the face, especially in the incident that moved. It would be a good idea not to use the gimmick for the next press conference. What they need is acting coaches to prepare them to give the reality. It looked like 100% written.

They must build it up as a sincere rivalry, not one designed for the great multimillion pay days they both receive. If the great acting coach, Lee Strasberg, was still in the area, he could possibly help Canelo and Crawford to give them an accident course in method.

New theater for Las Vegas

For the next press conference this Friday, June 27, in Las Vegas, Canelo-Crawford must come up with some new WWE-Esque Theater to create more hype for this battle. What we saw yesterday were two outdated fighters who went through the motions to promote their Netflix battle on September 13.

Searched hostility

The interactions should be less envisaged without the false hostility we saw in New York. Fans saw the photo of the two who had dinner with Turki Alalshikh two days before the press conference, and both looked like old friends. Canelo looked happily and with his partner, Crawford, was about to make a pile of dough in a circus style event.

The tickets will sell anyway because Canelo is involved in the event. But to create interest among casual fans who do not follow boxing, it will require more work on both parts. People who subscribe to Netflix do it to watch movies, not boxing. So let them be interested in taking time to look at Canelo-Crawford, they must use theater that does not look false like yesterday.

Crawford’s emotionless talking points

Crawford sounded as if he were presenting lines at the press conference, but sounded like a parrot. It was one of the more interesting quotes from Crawford: ‘I hunt him. I’m hunting everything he has, and I’m going to take it on September 13. ‘ He gave the quote with an emotionless expression, as if he had a memorized line. Again, there was no reality in his character.
