Graham Potter has changed the mood at West Ham but new AC Milan manager Sergio Conceicao is set to destroy the club’s move for Fikayo Tomori.
A win over Fulham in their Premier League opener, as well as a reasonable enough performance in the FA Cup defeat to Aston Villa, has seen Potter’s stock rise among Hammers fans.

It is clear that the east Londoners need to improve significantly on how they have played so far this season.
The Julen Lopetegui era at the club can only be seen as an abject failure, so the pressure is on Potter’s shoulders to hit the ground running and get things exactly right.
While sources have told CaughtOffside that Tomori has not pushed for a move away, it is not just West Ham who appear to have understood that the England international could be available.

Sources also suggest Premier League rivals Newcastle, Aston Villa and Tottenham are also interested, while Milan’s Serie A rivals Juventus are believed to be preparing a formal bid of around £25m of euros
Tomori has a contract with Milan until July 2027 and a net annual salary of around 3.5 million euros, so it could be said that he is within the reach of the aforementioned clubs.
Conceicao will hinder the movement of Fikayo Tomori
However, the arrival of Sergio Conceicao in Milan is likely to complicate the transfer. That’s because the new manager wants Tomori to stay in the team and play an important role in their tactical setup.
That willingness to hang on to the 27-year-old is what could end West Ham’s chances.
There is still just over two weeks until the end of the January transfer window, which is plenty of time to get a deal done.
A tempting financial offer could sway Milan’s board, although Conceicao would still need some convincing.
