Caleb Plant coach Stephen Edwards says the Pro-Armando Resendiz crowd played a factor in Caleb that lost the fight last Saturday night at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas. Edwards describes it as a “Snowball Effect” With Resendiz (16-2, 11 COs) giving energy and momentum from the applause he received from the supporters from the third round.
Plant loses WBA Interim title
Resendiz defeated plant (23-3, 14 food) by a 12-round decision, which won his WBA-Tuss-Engineer Super Middleweight title. The scores were 116-112 for Resendiz, 115-113 for plant, and 116-112 for Resendiz.
“Resendiz didn’t throw many bumps early because he didn’t have the reflexes Caleb got. Caleb was kind of overworked and won in the early rounds,” coach Stephen Edwards told the media After Caleb Plant’s loss of Armando Resendiz last Saturday night.
The bumps that threw Resendiz on the inside bothered plant, as he hit hard shots on the side of his head. Unlike his previous fight against Trevor McCumby, he couldn’t use Brawling to turn things around when he started struggling on the outside.
“Then the child ended up a right hand when Caleb used the shoulder roll. I don’t learn Caleb to shoulder roll. This is something he just does. If you get a man at his age (32), he was a world champion before he met me, ‘says Stephen. “You can’t completely limit him, but I don’t like the shoulder roll, because sometimes they hit you with real hands.”
It seems that a right hand from Resendiz to the head of the plant in third place took a lot of Caleb, which fooled him and was unable to fight as he had one and two in rounds. Plant may have been injured by the shot more than people know.
Crowd’s “snowball effect”
“It changed the momentum of battle. The crowd, everyone succeeded. Every time Resendiz would hit, it built up more and more energy and spurred it,” Plant said. “Every time he hit, his fans saw the success, and then I knew it was like a snowball at that point.”
It was not just to feed the sound of the crowd that gave plant problems. It was plant that lost confidence and looked unnoticed. He is the type of fighter who needs the crowd on his side to fight with self -belief. After the fans turned against him last night, he unraveled spiritually.
‘Caleb didn’t fall apart. He held his own, and he landed some good shots, but it was the blood, the appearance of fatigue. If you’re in a fight, it’s one thing after another. It was the night of Resendiz, ‘says Edwards.
What is worrying is how plant looked tired so early in the fight. He looked after the fourth round of Haggard and old, and he really didn’t put hard under pressure through Resendiz. There was pressure, but it was not overwhelming, unlike some fighters do.
