The Blues earn £188.9m from transfer sales

Chelsea have been criticized for their overspending at times under the ownership of Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, but BBC journalist Nizaar Kinsella has published in X how the Blues are close to balancing the books due to so many player sales.

While many new arrivals have arrived at Chelsea this summer, including Joao Felix, Pedro Neto, Jadon Sancho and Tosin Adarabioyo, there have also been significant sales of senior players such as Conor Gallagher, Romelu Lukaku, Ian Maatsen, Hakim Ziyech and Omari Hutchinson.

In total, this means that Chelsea have raised almost £190m in player sales, having spent just a little more than that on signings that come…

Chelsea fans will be pleased to see that, despite external criticism, the numbers show their club is doing things the right way, and that should lead to improvements on the pitch.

There is already plenty to be optimistic about with Enzo Maresca’s style of play as Chelsea appear to have a more polished game plan than they did last season under Mauricio Pochettino.

However, CFC will still need time for their new signings to settle and for young players like Nicolas Jackson, Enzo Fernandez and Noni Madueke to reach their full potential, although there is a frustrating inconsistency.
