We have all fought with the hit of our ball from time to time. Sometimes, our shaking goes out and we just can’t seem to find our face. And when it happens, it may seem like you will never hit a strong blow again.

This, of course, is not true. While it can feel like hard strikes are a thing of the past, in reality there is good golf in your future. Sometimes all it takes to get out of your function is to make things as simple as possible.

In the video below, John Daly explains an easy trick you can use to make sure you are making strong contact.

Daly’s strong contact trick

It is usually easier to find the sweet point when you are hitting a short field than when you are making a full movement. So next time you are fighting to create strong contact, apply techniques of a stroke in the field at your full pace.

“Let’s cut the club,” Daly says. “I just drown and hit it normally – almost like a chip. The movement becomes a little shorter, but the ball will be stronger because the shaft is slightly stiffer and the stick is slightly shorter. So your chances of hitting a stroke are much better than you are trying to catch an eight iron in the handle heel thinking it will make you hit it longer. “

The longer your oscillation is, the more time there is something to go wrong. By shortening your swing, you are limiting the time there is something to go wrong – and increasing your chances to hit the ball hard.

“The best thing to do that I have always told the amateurs is to hit three -quarters,” he says. “Drowning and hitting normally.”

Next time you will find yourself struggling to create sustainable contacts, get Dary’s tips. With a shorter swing, you are almost guaranteed to hit the ball better than with your full swing.
