The best golf poles at every price point

Golf clubs have become one of the most confusing parts of the game. On one end of the spectrum, you can grab something for under $40 that looks great and feels great. On the other hand, there are polos pushing $150 that promise “performance” and “luxury.” The problem is that price alone doesn’t tell you anything. There are great polos at every level and plenty that aren’t worth the price. So instead of arguing that one price point is right and the others are wrong, I broke it down the only way that makes sense: the best golf poles you can buy, on any budget.

The best under $40

1. Uniqlo DRY-EX polo shirt

Uniqlo golf apparel is one of the best offerings on the golf course. For under $30, DRY-EX polo it’s one of my favorite polos out there. They look good, feel good and are priced even better. I say this in all seriousness: Uniqlo poles are just as good as any other brand.

2. Walter Hagen Performance Men’s 11 Golf Polo Print Novelty

Before you yell at me, I’m including Walter Hagen in the under $40 category because you can often get these at a pretty good discount. I definitely don’t think these polos are worth the $70 or more ticket price, but when they’re on sale, they’re hard to beat. I wore a couple Walter Hagen poloand were surprised by their performance. Right now, you can find many styles for $25 or less. At that price, these are a really solid choice.

3. True classic classic polo

True Classic is best known for it blouse but to Classic polo it’s an admirable entry in the sub-$40 category because you can find a ton of colors/styles for $20. I don’t care about the quality, $20 for a golf shirt is cheap and we can all afford the beaters. As much as we want to fill our wardrobes with more expensive options, it’s not practical or smart. Once again, $20 for a golf polo … hard to beat.

4. Quince Performance Mesh Golf Polo

quince it’s a really good brand. Everything I’ve tried from them is really good quality, especially for the price. For $35, they make one of my favorite golf poles. They breathe, move well and fit well. If it weren’t for Uniqlo, these would be ranked number one, but compared to the other entries, these are the most expensive, and it’s easy to see why. Another reason I like it Golf polo invited is that it is made from 94 percent recycled material. If you care about durability in addition to good looks and play, take a look at the Quince.

5. Original Penguin Stripe Golf Polo

The Original Penguin is a classic American brand, and definitely underrated when it comes to their golf offerings. I played a few rounds in them Stripe Golf Polo and i love the fit and feel. I also think this shirt looks really good and gives off the retro vibe that Original Penguin is going for. Look, this is $25, so it’s a pretty easy purchase.

The best under $80

1. Johnnie-O Performance Jersey Polo

Johnnie-O’s polos usually tend to be $100 or more, but this one makes the list under $80 because it’s on sale. That said, Johnnie-O golf poles are in the running for my favorite on the market. From the fit to the materials and overall feel, everything about their polos is top notch. of Performance Jersey Polo it’s on sale for $58 right now and for a polo of this quality, it’s an absolute steal.

2. TravisMathew Patron Parade Polo

TravisMathew is another brand where their shirts generally retail for over $100, but Patron Polo Parade it’s well below that price point. Apart a ton of other optionsthis shirt is on sale for less than $68 and for TravisMathew, that’s about as low as you’re going to get. In addition to the fact that their poles perform well on the course and look good, I am passionate about all things Augusta and this polo it’s a subtle nod to the famous tradition unlike any other.

3. Golf Polo with NIKE Dri-FIT Victory+ print

I’ll admit it: I’m not the biggest fan of NIKE, nor the biggest fan of big brands as a whole. Still, NIKE is NIKE, and if it’s good enough for Scottie Scheffler to wear, that’s saying something. And just because I’m not a fan of the brand doesn’t mean they make bad stuff. From a performance standpoint, their golf poles are legitimately good. $52 for one NIKE golf polo it’s not bad, baby.

4. G/FORE Multi Stripe Tech Pique Performance Polo

Conversely, I’m a big fan of G/FORE. I think many of their pieces are unique, modern and sophisticated in a way that helps make golf more fun while still maintaining a sense of tradition. In the same breath, theirs Multi Stripe Pique Performance Polo it’s on sale for $54. If you haven’t tried G/FORE, I recommend giving it a try. I have quite a few of their polos in my golf rotation and they are great.

5. Under Armor Matchplay Printed Polo

Under Armor is definitely not the most stylish brand, but it doesn’t have to be. UA has always let its performance materials do the talking. Their golf shirts are no different. If you care about functionality and staying cool and dry during hot rounds, Under Armor is the way to go. theirs Matchplay Printed Polo is one of their most inspired designs, especially if you like to stand out. This shirt is $60, and while it’s not “cheap,” it’s not the most expensive option here. During the summer season, you’ll quickly realize your money was well spent when you’re not walking away from a round looking like you just went swimming.

Best over $90

1. Johnnie-O Performance Mesh Polo – Stetson Stripe

In my opinion, Johnnie-O Performance Mesh Polo it’s the best golf shirt on the market. Not only does it look, feel and perform the part, but it’s extremely versatile. Up close, this looks like a pique polo and, to me, that gives it a more comfortable, classic feel than your traditional performance golf shirt, while still offering all the benefits of a straight performance shirt. This shirt is clean, classic, looks good, performs well and can go with any environment. I love this polo. Period.

2. G/FORE Men’s Pique Golf Polo Short Sleeve

We are getting G/FORE again because they make a great golf shirt. of G/FORE Pique Golf Polo is another textured offering because golf shirts benefit from texture. I don’t make the rules. This shirt also wicks away moisture and is made from four-way stretch material. It moves with you on and off the course.

3. Red Wind Polo Sun Day

From the Big Cat himself, Red Wind Polo Sun Day it’s a throwback to Tiger’s own apparel, modernized for today’s player. The Sun Day Red poles are unique because of their venting pattern (I have no idea how it works) that keeps you cooler in warmer temperatures than other poles. I don’t know if it’s placebo or not, but after trying it myself, I’m sold.

4. Peter Millar Jersey Polo Performance

In case you didn’t know, I’m here to tell you that Peter Millar makes great golf apparel. However, their shirts are definitely in a league of their own. Their best jersey offerings, in my opinion, come from their performance jersey line. Available at solid, LINE AND pattern (My favorite is the photo above Roast with pearls), the Performance Jersey Polo is stretchy, moisture-wicking and UV-resistant to help keep you protected from the sun. Also, from a visual perspective, Peter Millar’s shirts are fantastic. Look, feel, you say, Peter Millar has it.

5. Holderness & Bourne: Fleming shirts

Holderness & Bourne have truly captured what it means to be a premium golf shirt. Of all the other shirts on this list, I really think they are Fleming shirt it looks and feels more premium. In a unique way, it is the “heaviest” of shirts. I don’t mean it’s heavy. I mean the material seriously feels the most important. These are definitely for the golfer who puts luxury first. Compared to their counterparts, I think they might be trying a little too hard, but that’s exactly what some people want. If you want a golf shirt that screams luxury, take a look at Holderness & Bourne.
