The West Country Road Race on March 16 has been named as British Athletics’ official trial race for the world event in San Diego in September.
The 2025 GetPRO Bath Half will host British Athletics’ official trial race for the 2025 World Athletics Road Championships Half Marathon.
Athletes who have run faster than 65 minutes for men or 74 minutes for women in the last two years are now invited to apply for elite participation to be part of the test race. which will form part of the sold-out Bath Half Marathon on Sunday 16 March.
UK Athletics will confirm its full selection criteria for the 2025 World Road Championships, including qualifying times, in the coming weeks.
The 2025 World Athletics Championships will be held over three days in San Diego in September, with the half marathon bringing the curtain down on the elite race weekend on September 28.
Bath Half Marathon
All invited British elite athletes must be eligible to compete for GB & NI on race day (March 16).
Athletes wishing to apply for inclusion in an official trial race should email the London Marathon Events Head of Elite Athletes, Spencer Bardenor Great Britain Athletics” Tom Craggs until Friday, February 28.
The GetPRO Bath Half will also include an elite age category for the UK’s top 40 and over age categories.Interested athletes must run the qualifying times listed below on or after the event on Monday 1 January 2024 It’s £25.Entries close at 5pm on Friday 31st January.
